Praying For An Uncomplicated Christmas

As we look around us this Christmas,  have you noticed the normal hustle and bustle and ill tempered people, including ourselves?

As I was praying this morning over the upcoming weekend, I asked God for the following:

1)Lord, slow me down and calm my heart

2)Help me to radiate your love to my family members the next few days

3)Remind me Christmas isn't about how the house looks, not about the presents I bought (or still need to by) or the meals that need preparation - Christmas is about remembering.

4)Lord, I ask for time this weekend and holy moments that will bring precious thoughts and memories of that wonderful night so many years ago.  Bring images to me of what that glorious moment must have been like.  Help me remember.

5)Before the presents are opened, before the meal is served, before we forget - remember the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Read Luke 2:1-20 with your family.
